Join the family of devoted worshippers to celebrate Elizabeth Ann Seton’s birthday on the last Sunday of August at 1:30pm Mass and afterward on the grounds of the Seton Shrine. Auxiliary Bishop Adam Parker from the Archdiocese of Baltimore will celebrate Mass. Students of all ages are welcome to bring items used for studies – a backpack, bookbag, basket, tablet, book(s), etc. – for a special Backpack Blessing by Bishop Parker during the Birthday Mass. Afterward, we welcome everyone to join us for refreshments and fun activities on the grounds until 5pm. The Basilica and Visitor Center will be open from 12pm-6pm.

Silhouettes will be celebrated in the 18-teens era in which Mother Seton experienced much of her work. Silhouette portraits will be offered for the interested congregation members from 2:30pm-4:30pm, via timed tickets available at the Silhouettes area.
