Join Silhouettes By Hand and the National First Ladies Library for a virtual event: a brief history of silhouettes in early America, and silhouettes portraits cut virtually 10 people.
Learn how this seemingly simple portrait was a microcosm of commerce, sociology, travel, and the development of our culture, and enjoy real portraits of our founding fathers and mothers - as well as the non-famous people who helped craft our country.
You too can choose to have your silhouette cut virtually at the end of the presentation. You’ll receive one silhouette mounted on cardstock, mailed to your house. Lauren also will be answering questions while cutting silhouettes, so stick around after the presentation to watch the silhouettes being cut, and ask your questions!
