Celebrate the late 1800s’ warm hearts and cozy farmhouse at Howell Living History Farm’s “Valentine’s Sleigh” event, combining the festivities of Valentines celebrations with the fun of winter excitement.

Silhouettes By Hand ‘s Lauren Muney will be dressed for ca.1900, set up in the sitting room of the farmhouse, demonstrating silhouettes as they would have been cut freehand, in the traditional manner. Silhouettes would have been scattered through 1900 houses of previous generations, but with photography available at that era, silhouettes would only have been continued as novelty or nostalgia.
